Built over decades.
Led by the people
who built it.
The average tenure of the Loren Data executive team is longer than most of the companies in this category have existed. That is the defining feature. It is also, we think, the most honest answer to the question of how infrastructure like ours gets operated well.

Todd L Gould
Founded the company the day he graduated from UCLA in 1987. Has operated it continuously since.

Todd is a career software engineer and communications systems architect. He learned to program on an IBM 360 at the Los Angeles Unified School District in 1974, continued on IBM mainframes through Pomona College and UCLA, and has been building, shipping, and operating production software on every platform since. FORTRAN to dBASE to Clipper to NetWare to the modern cloud. The company and the industry grew up together.
The work that defines his career is the design and operation of ECGrid, the B2B network messaging platform, and ECGridOS, the web services operating system that sits on top of it. Together, by any reasonable measure, they have reshaped how a meaningful share of North American B2B commerce is actually plumbed. Today, he is known inside the industry as one of its most active advocates for a more open, more interconnected, and more innovative B2B ecosystem.
Outside the company, Todd is an active philanthropist and offshore sailor. He and his wife Jennifer founded The Barbaro-Gould Foundation, a 501(c)(3) focused on the global exchange of culture through art, music, literature, and film. They charter sailboats around the world.
